As the size of the elements $\mathrm{F}, \mathrm{Cl}, \mathrm{Br}, \mathrm{I}$ increases down the group, the bond strength of $\mathrm{HF}, \mathrm{HCl}$ $\mathrm{HBr}$ and HI decreases and so the acid strength increases.
