Biodiversity is defined as the richness of diversity among a variety of species. Biodiversity is destroyed due to human activities like farming, mining, hunting, urbanization, etc. So, it is the responsibility of human beings to conserve biological diversity.

Afforestation: Due to various human activities, trees are being cut off resulting in deforestation. It leads to the loss of the natural habitats of many wild animals. Hence, we need to grow more trees so that the population of wild animals can grow.
Alien species: The number of alien species must be reduced in order to increase the number of other animals.

Industrialisation and urbanisation: Industries are primary contributors to pollution. Pollution negatively impacts plants and animals. Hence, pollution should be reduced to increase the species diversity.

Poaching: Poaching or hunting of wild animals should be banned.

Laws: The legislation should be more strict against the violators.

Captive breeding and seed banks: Animals should be bred artificially to increase their population. Huge varieties of plant seed should be kept in a storage facility so that the gene diversity can be secured.
