The main postulates of Bohr's atomic model is as follows:

1. The nucleus is present in the centre of atom and electrons revolves around it.

2. The electrons revolve rapidly round the nucleus in fixed circular paths called energy level or shells. These energy shells are represented either by numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 or alphabets K, L, M, N.

3. Each energy level is associated with a fixed amount of energy. The shell nearest to the nucleus having minimum energy and the shell farthest from the nucleus having the maximum energy.

4. There is no change in the energy of electrons as long as they keep revolving in the same energy level, and the atom remains stable. An electron can lose energy only when it jumps from an orbit of higher energy to an orbit of lower energy and an electron will jump from a lower energy orbit to a higher energy orbit only when it gains energy from outside.

These postulates explain that electron will not lose its energy till it revolves in same energy level and it will lose energy only when it jumps from higher energy level to lower energy level hence it will not fall into the nucleus.
