Explain the relation between angle of incidence and angle of refraction with an experiment.

Below experiment explains the relation between angle of incidence and angle of refraction. Apparatus : A plank, white chart, protractor, semicircular glass disc, pencil and laser light. Procedure : Take a drawing sheet on a cardboard and mark different angles ( on both sides of " MM " line ) . Place a semicircular glass disc, so that its diameter coincides with the line MM . Send a laser light along a line with makes 15 ° with NN . Let it is incident angle. Measure its corresponding angle of refraction by observing light coming from outside the glass slab. Repeat this experiment with various values of angle of incidence, refraction. From the above experiment we will observe that the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction is constant. sin i sin r = constant
