Two water pipes together can fill a tank in $9\frac{3}{8}\mathrm{h}$. The pipe of larger diameter takes $10\mathrm{h}$ less than the smaller one to fill the tank separately. Find the time(in hours) in which each pipe can fill the tank separately.

An aeroplane travelled a distance of $400 \mathrm{km}$ at an average speed of  $x \mathrm{km}/\mathrm{h}$. On the return journey, the speed was increased by $40 \mathrm{km}/\mathrm{h}$. Write down an expression for the time taken for the onward journey.

The speed of an express train is $x \mathrm{km}/\mathrm{h}$ and the speed of an ordinary train is $12 \mathrm{km}/\mathrm{h}$ less than that of the express train. Some students planned a picnic. The budget for food was $₹480$. As eight of them failed to join the party, the cost of the food for each member is increased by $₹10$. Find how many students went for the picnic?

The hotel bill for a number of persons for overnight stay is $₹4800$. If there were $4$ more persons, the bill each person had to pay, would have reduced by $₹200$. Find the number of persons staying overnight.

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is $25 \mathrm{cm}$. The difference between the lengths of the other two sides of the triangle is $5 \mathrm{cm}$. Find the lengths of these sides.

If the perimeter of a rectangular plot is $68 \mathrm{m}$ and length of its diagonal is $26 \mathrm{m}$, then find its area in ${\mathrm{m}}^2$.

$₹7500$ were divided equally among a certain number of children. Had there been $20$ less children, each would have received $₹100$ more. Find the original number of children.
