Thyroxin is secreted by thyroid gland. This hormone is responsible for swelling of gland, increases body temperature, etc. Somatotrophic hormone is known as a growth hormone which promotes the growth of bones, unnatural growth of body, etc. Growth hormones are produced by the pituitary gland. They have many functions including maintaining normal body structure and metabolism. Insulin is secreted by the beta cells of pancreas. It controls the blood sugar.
