From the above picture we can see that, the mineral oil and natural gas is formed in the course over millions of years. The marine animals over this period of time die and decomposed. Their remains fall on the base of the ocean. After that layers over layers of rocks, sand and soil is created on them. It put pressure on them which turn the hydrocarbons into these fossil fuels.
