A hall is $15 \mathrm{m}$ long, $10 \mathrm{m}$ wide and $5 \mathrm{m}$ high. Its walls and the roof are to be white washed from inside. Find the total area to be whitewashed and the total cost at the rate of $₹ 35 \mathrm{per} {\mathrm{m}}^2$.
 

A rectangular plot of size $240 \mathrm{m}$ by $140 \mathrm{m}$ is having two crossroads, each $8 \mathrm{m}$ wide running through its middle. One is parallel to the length and other is parallel to the breadth. Find the area of the crossroads.
