Step $3$ : With $P$ as a center take any radius draw arcs to cut the side $Q S$ at two points $T$ and $V$ .

Step $4$ : With $T$ and $V$ as centers and more than half the distance between these points as radius draw two arcs to intersect each other at $G$ .

Join $P$ and $G$ . Name the intersecting point of $P G$ and $Q S$ as $U$ .

$P U$ is the required altitude.

Extend the line $P R$ till $I$ .

With $Q$ as a center take any radius draw arcs to cut the side $P I$ at two points $A$ and $B$ .

With $A$ and $B$ as centers and more than half the distance between these points as radius draw two arcs to intersect each other at $H$ .

Join $Q$ and $H$ . Name the intersecting point of $Q H$ and $P I$ as $C$ .

$Q C$ is the required altitude.

With $R$ as a center take any radius draw arcs to cut the side $P Q$ at two points $E$ and $F$ .
