On fixing $0$ in tens place, we get two numbers by shuffling the position of $2$ and $5$ . And, the numbers formed are $205$ and $502$ . Both are three-digit numbers.

On fixing $0$ in hundreds place, we get two numbers by shuffling the position of $2$ and $5$ . And, the numbers formed are $025$ and $052$ . Both are two-digit numbers and not three-digit numbers as $0$ is placed in extreme left of the numbers which has no value if placed this way.

Hence, as per the considered digits, we have

Total three-digit numbers formed $= 4$ ,

Three-digit numbers $= 250, 520, 205, 502$ , and

Ascending order of three-digit numbers: $205 < 250 < 502 < 520$ .
