Draw a line segment $AB$ of length $12 \mathrm{cm}$ Mark a point $C$ on the line segment $AB$, such that $AC=5.6 \mathrm{cm}$. What should be the length of $CB$? Measure the length of $CB$.

Given that $AB=12 \mathrm{cm}$

From the above figure measure the lengths of the following line segments.

(i) $\left(\mathrm{a}\right) CD$ $\left(\mathrm{b}\right) DB$ $\left(\mathrm{c}\right) EA$ $\left(\mathrm{d}\right) AD$

(ii) Verify $\overline{AE}-\overline{CE}=\overline{AC}?$

$AB=3.8 \mathrm{cm}$. Construct $MN$ by compasses such that the length of $MN$ is thrice that of $AB$.
