Alps: The largest and tallest mountain range system in south-central Europe is the Alps. The mountain range spans Alpine nations-France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy etc.

Atlas: The Atlas Mountains are a group of mountain ranges in northwest Africa that serve as the geological foundation of Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, three countries that make up the Maghrib (the western area of the Arab world).

Andes: One of the world's longest mountain ranges, the Andes runs along the western coast of South America. Glaciers, volcanoes, grasslands, deserts, lakes, and forests all make up its diverse topography.

Rockies: The greatest mountain formation in North America is the Rocky Mountains, sometimes referred to as the Rockies. The Rocky Mountains extend from New Mexico in the southern United States to the farthest north of western Canada.
