Tissues can be defined as a group of cells that performs a specific or particular function. According to the given image, nervous tissue, epithelial tissue, connective tissue and muscular tissue are types of animal tissues. The function performed by each tissue are as follows:

Nervous tissue: This tissue is the main components of the brain and spinal cord. Their function is they are involved in controlling and coordinating various activities, response to stimuli, etc.

Epithelial tissue: This tissue is formed by cells which cover the external parts of the body. Their function is they play a major role in sensation, excretion, they protect the internal organs against the pathogens, radiation, etc.

Connective tissue: This tissue helps in binding the organs together, it is involved in the transportation of water, nutrients, hormones which are chemical messengers, gases, etc.

Muscular tissue: This tissue is associated with body movements such as walking, running, etc. Their function is they are involved in pumping blood and controlling the flow in arteries, it helps in maintaining an erect posture.
