What are the wavelength, frequency, time period and amplitude of a sound wave?

Wavelength: The distance between two consecutive compressions ( $C$ ) or two consecutive rarefactions ( $R$ ) is called the wavelength. The wavelength is usually represented by $λ$ (Greek letter lambda). Its SI unit is the metre.

Frequency: The number of oscillations or waves through a point per unit time is the frequency of the sound wave. Its SI unit is hertz ( $Hz$ ).

Time period: The time taken by the wave to complete one complete oscillation or wave is called the time period of the sound wave. It is represented by the symbol $T$ . Its SI unit is second ( $s$ ).

Amplitude: It is defined as the maximum displacement of the vibrating particle on either side of the mean position in the medium. It is usually represented by the symbol $A$ . Its SI unit is the metre.
