The changes in the body that take place at puberty age are described below:
The rapid increase in height: The most significant change during puberty is rapid growth in height. Initially, the girls grow faster but by about 18 years of age, both girls and boys reach their maximum height. During this growth period, the bones of the legs and arms become long so that the person looks tall.
Change in voice: At puberty, the larynx begins to grow. It is easily visible in boys as a protruding part of the throat also known as the Adam's apple. But in girls, the larynx is not visible from the outside. Generally, the boys have a low-pitched or deep voice while the girls have a high-pitched voice.

Change in body shape: The shoulders of boys become broader, and the chest becomes wider. It is because they have entered the age of puberty. On the other hand, in girls, the region below the waist becomes broader. The changes that are different in girls and boys occur during adolescence. The muscles grow more prominently in boys.
Development of reproductive organs: During the adolescence stage, the reproductive organs of the male develop. The testes begin to produce sperm. In the female, the ovaries enlarge and start releasing mature eggs.
Secretion of sweat glands and sebaceous glands: During adolescence the secretion of sweat glands and sebaceous glands increases and resulting in acne or pimples on the face.
