The colour blindness is the inability in seeing colours distinctly. The colour perception in humans is governed by an interaction of X-linked genes and autosomal genes. The female serves as a carrier of red-green colour blindness. This can be explained by the following cross:

X = Normal chromosome

X^o = Colourblind chromosome

The female consists of XX chromosomes and the male consists of XY chromosomes. The female serves as a carrier if one out of two X chromosomes is affected, and becomes colour blind if both the X chromosomes are affected, whereas the male consists of XY pair of chromosomes, therefore, become affected if the X chromosome is affected with colour blindness. It can be concluded that there is only 25 % probability of colourblindness daughter.
