A cyclone is a strong, tropical, fast-spinning storm. The speed of the wind causes a lot of damage to life and property. It is known by different names in different places. In Japan, it is called a typhoon.

An earthquake is the sudden shaking of the earth's surface due to some disturbances inside the earth which may cause severe damage to our life and property. The earth's crust is made up of several plates that are floating on the mantle. Earthquakes occur when these plates collide or slide past each other. Earthquakes can cause damage to buildings and properties and may cause floods, landslides and avalanches.

A tsunami is a series of huge waves that can rise up to a height of 100 feet and travels at a very high speed of about 700 km / hr that hits the coastal areas. The huge force with which they strike on land can destroy everything that comes in the way such as humans, buildings, plants and animals. A tsunami can be caused by an earthquake or volcanic eruption under the sea.

A volcano is an opening on the crust of the earth that allows hot, molten rock, ash and gases to escape from below the surface. There is hot molten rock, called magma present deep under the earth's surface. It rises and collects in a chamber and gradually builds up pressure. The pressure inside it causes the magma to move up and erupt out. The magma that comes out in a volcanic eruption is called lava.
