Learning About Numbers

This chapter deals with the types of numbers, comparison and estimation of numbers. It also discusses the place value of numbers, the Indian and international system of numeration, unit conversion, the importance of brackets, and roman numerals.

The chapter deals with the natural and whole number, the representation and arithmetic operation of numbers on the number line. Properties of the whole number and the arrangement of them in basic elementary shapes are also discussed.

The chapter deals with the properties of multiples, divisors and factors of numbers. It introduces us to different categories of numbers and their divisibility rules. The concept of prime factorisation, HCF and LCM of numbers are also discussed.
