Students who have passed all the subjects but want to improve their scores in any of the subjects can apply for the AP Inter 2nd Year Improvement Exam. If the marks secured by the student in the Improvement Exam are more than the marks secured in the 1st attempt, then the new marks will be considered. But if the marks in the Improvement Exam are less, then the marks of the 1st attempt will be considered.
Don’t worry. It’s just an exam.
Students who have failed in one or more subjects in the AP Inter 12th Exam can apply for Supplementary Exams for those subjects. They can also appear for the Supplementary Exam for the subjects they have passed but want to improve their score. However, unlike the Improvement Exam, the new marks will be considered for these subjects irrespective of whether or not they secured a higher score on their first attempt.
Let’s assume, a student has failed in Physics and secured a low score in Maths. He has to take the Supplementary Exam for both subjects. He cannot take the Supplementary Exam for Physics and Improvement Exam for Maths. The improvement Exam is only for those candidates who have passed all the subjects.
Now, if he passes Physics in the Supplementary Exam but scores lower than his first attempt in Maths, then for both subjects, his marks in the Supplementary Exam will be considered.
