About Karnataka Board Examination 2024

Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is a state education board for Karnataka state. It was established in 1966 and is responsible for conducting SSLC, PUC and other state level exams. The board is responsible for developing and managing secondary education in Karnataka. All the schools affiliated with the Karnataka Board implement the guidelines and structure issued by the Board. KSEAB aims to provide academic guidelines, textual resources, support material, enhancement activities and capacity-building programmes in its schools.

KSEAB Board Grading System for Primary Classes

The KSEAB grading system is different for primary classes and secondary classes. In classes 6 to 8, students obtain grades as per the percentage of marks scored by them. Thus, more the total marks in all the subjects, higher will be their percentage and grade. 

KSEAB Secondary School Grading System

In secondary classes, the grading system includes grade points. The grading system is similar to the primary grading system. Students are given grades based on their scores in their exams. Students must obtain at least 33% to pass the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.

KSEAB Practical Exams

KSEAB conducts practical exams for all classes which helps students to get a better understanding of the topics. KSEAB Compartmental Exams

Rajasthan Board conducts Compartment exams for the students who were not able to pass their final exams. These exams are conducted after the result declaration and the students who failed can reappear for that particular subject. For classes 10 and 12, any student who failed in two out of five subjects can give the compartment exam for that particular subject.

Students need to register themselves on the official website of KSEAB to appear for the exam. The forms are released shortly after the result declaration.
