CUET Syllabus 2023: Check Subject-wise Syllabus

CUET Syllabus 2023: NTA prescribes the CUET (CUCET) syllabus on the official portal along with the exam notification. The CUET 2023 will be conducted for 27 subjects to facilitate admissions to 45 central universities. Aspirants can enrol in UG, Integrated, and PG Courses at participating institutions and universities by clearing the CUET 2023 exam.

CUET Syllabus 2023: Overview

According to the latest update, the exam will have four sections – Section 1 (1A,1B), Section 2, and Section 3. The CUET 2023 is conducted in 2 shifts; the first shift will have 1 language paper, 2 subject-specific papers, and the general test paper. The second shift consists of 4 domain-specific subject papers and 1 option language paper.

CUET (UG) Syllabus 2023

As per the syllabus of CUCET 2023, the question paper will be divided into four sections. Section IA will include 13 languages, section IB will include 20 subjects, section II will have 27 domain-specific subjects, and section III will be a general test. The candidates can refer to the table below to know all the topics of the CUCET 2023 syllabus at the undergraduate level.

Section IA – 13 Languages

The languages included in this section are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu. For each language topics covered are as follows:

Section IB – 20 Languages

The languages covered in this section are French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese. For each language, the topics covered in this section are as follows:

Note: A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from section IA and section IB together. However, the third language can be chosen instead of the 6th domain-specific subject (so the maximum number of tests to be taken remains 9 only, i.e., 2 languages + 6 domain-specific subjects + 1 general test or 3 languages + 5 domain-specific subjects + 1 general test. This flexibility is provided to help a candidate apply for many universities depending on their eligibility conditions).

Section II – 27 Domain-Specific Subjects

The CUET exam pattern has changed, and 27 domain-specific subjects are included in this section. Candidates can choose a maximum of 6 subjects here. The domain-specific subjects are as below.

CUCET UG Level Exam Pattern

The candidates of postgraduate level preparing for the CUCET 2023 are advised to prepare for the test as per the syllabus provided by the exam conducting body.
