Assistants recruited at RBI will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 14,650/- per month
(i.e. ₹ 13,150/- plus two advance increments admissible
to Graduates) in the scale that is aligned below:

This pay scale includes basic salary and other allowances, viz dearness allowance, house rent allowance, city compensatory allowance, transport allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, the initial monthly gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately ₹36,091/-.

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the Objective tests (Preliminary and Main examination). 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted if the question is left unanswered or blank. Never ever give blind guesses in the examination. Just keep in mind the negative marking aspect.
As per the RBI Assistant Notification, it was decided that there will be NO interview rounds for recruiting candidates for the post of RBI Assistant across India. The interview was conducted a few years earlier. But as of now, no interview will be conducted.
Instead of an interview round, RBI conducts an LPT for the candidates who have cleared the RBI Assistant Mains exam for final selection. The LPT will be conducted in the official/local language of the state concerned, as included in the table below. Candidates who are not proficient in the official/local language will be disqualified.
The number of candidates who are called for the LPT is based on merit and the aggregate score obtained in the RBI Assistant Mains exam. The merit list for LPT will be created on the basis of the number of vacancies notified for a particular session.
