How to Attempt XAT Previous Year Papers?

Solving XAT previous year papers or even XAT mock tests should be in a proper way so that you can make the best use of them and improve your score from one test to another. This will definitely help you obtain a higher score in the actual exam. But make sure you complete the syllabus before solving these papers. Once that is done, allocate a fixed time duration, once in every three-four days, to solve a paper. Solve them like you would solve a real exam.

As you solve the XAT previous year papers, cultivate the following habits:

  • 1st Step: Start off with the section where you are absolutely confident.
  • 2nd Step: Read each and every question carefully. Assess whether or not you can solve them.
  • 3rd Step: If you are sure, go ahead and attempt the question.
  • 4th Step: If you have no idea at all, skip the question.
  • 5th Step: If you are not sure but think that you might be able to answer it, mark it to review later.
  • 6th Step: Likewise, attempt all the sections.
  • 7th step: Once you have gone through all the questions in the paper and solved the questions you were sure about, try to attempt the marked question, and then the next level of questions, and so on.
  • 8th step: Keep track of the time spent per question. Do not answer any question in a hurry. At the same time, do not go over time, that is, do not spend too much time on any one question.

Once the time is over, stop the test and analyze your performance.
