The UPSC conducts the CISF Assistant Commandant (EXE). The selection procedure will have a written test and consists of two papers:

General mental ability: quantitative aptitude, numerical ability, logical reasoning and data interpretation.
General Science: includes general questions from the areas of Information Technology, Environmental science and Biotechnology.
General Awareness: History of India, Indian geography, world geography, Indian politics and Economy.
Current events of national and international importance include the areas of sports, literature, culture, music, arts, governance, industry, business and globalisation.
Syllabus for Paper 2 – Essay and Comprehension
Essay: Candidates need to write an essay on the topics related to modern Indian history and analytical ability. The medium of the essay can be English or Hindi.
This part includes comprehension passages, précise writing, developing counterarguments, simple grammar, language testing etc. The medium of writing for comprehension and precise writing is English.
The test takers who qualify in the written examination will be called for the PST and then shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview process.
