Benefits of Solving Previous Year Question Papers

Candidates must practice the previous year’s JEE Main Sample Papers. The advantage of solving question papers is that candidates can know the exam pattern, the time to answer each question and the difficulty levels. Some benefits of solving the JEE Main papers are:

  • Candidates can better understand the exam pattern and marking scheme by practicing numerous mock papers of JEE Main.
  • By regularly solving the previous year’s papers, candidates will have a good idea of the JEE Main syllabus weightage. Candidates can know which topics from the syllabus of JEE Main frequently feature in the exam and which have a low weightage.
  • A better idea about the types of questions asked in JEE Main exam comes with regular practising of JEE Main question papers.
  • Candidates can analyse their preparation level with every solved past term paper to improvise with revision. With regular practice of JEE Main papers, candidates can get to know their strong and weak areas and strategise their JEE Main Preparation accordingly.
  • One of the main factors that play an important role in cracking the exam is time management. Regular practice can allow any candidate to be adept at managing the time in the actual test. The other main aspect is improving the speed of answering the questions.
  • Practising question papers of JEE Main will give an idea of the real exam scenario.

How Can Embibe’s Advanced Feedback Analysis (AFA) Help In JEE Main Exam?

The competition these days is increasing in entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced, and to help candidates get accustomed to online tests and crack the exams with a good score, Embibe provides candidates with the free JEE Main mock test series. By taking these mock tests, candidates will receive a score and a test summary, which will help them to work on their weaker areas. Candidates will also get detailed solutions and insights on how they have performed in the test. Embibe’s Advanced Test Analysis provides the following:

Score and Time Analysis identifies much candidates scored and how much time they spent on each subject.
Solutions and Concept-wise Analysis identifies the questions and chapters aspirants got right, wrong, or left unattempted. It also provides solutions with proper explanations.
61% of candidates’ score depends on their knowledge, and 39% of the score depends on their test-taking strategy.
Apart from academic knowledge, the Advanced Feedback Analysis (AFA) helps identify behavioural gaps. The AFA includes the candidate’s speed, accuracy, time management, and stamina.
The AFA pinpoints candidates’ weaknesses and provides recommendations to improve their scores in the upcoming tests.

Reviews by Students on the JEE Question Paper

The questions and topics that are covered in the exam change every year. But, students find the JEE Main papers helpful for various reasons, from knowing the type of questions asked and understanding the exam pattern and difficulty level.
As per the candidate reviews who appeared for the exam last year, the JEE main questions were slightly tricky in terms of the difficulty level. Physics was the most challenging section, with most analytical questions requiring lengthy calculations and assumptions. Mathematics was moderate, and Chemistry was the easiest section.
