SBI CBO Recruitment Process 2023

Only qualified graduates are eligible to apply for the SBI CBO 2023 recruitment process. To get hired for the post of Circle-Based Officer, they must go through the following stages:

• Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Stage 2: Descriptive Test Followed by Screening
• Stage 3: Interview

SBI CBO Selection Stage 1: CBT

The CBT is the first stage of the SBI CBO selection process. There will be 120 questions, each worth one mark. The candidate needs to complete the test within 2 hours. However, there will be no negative marking in a multiple-choice question. Check out the test pattern from the below table:

How To Practice Questions on SBI CBO Exam?

Know the steps to practice questions on the SBI CBO exam 2023 below:

• 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
• 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
• 3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job”.
• 4th Step: Select the Goal “Banking” from the dropdown and click on “Next”.
• 5th Step: Search and select “SBI CBO” on the search bar and click on “Next”.
• 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click on “Done”.
• 7th Step: Click “Practice” from the header section.
• 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
• 9th Step: Click on any SBI CBO exam subjects.
• 10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.

SBI CBO Selection Stage 2: Descriptive Test

The duration of the SBI CBO descriptive test is 30 minutes. Check out the details of the descriptive test in the below table:

A merit list will be created for each state and category based on the online test score. However, there will be no sectional qualifying marks. Candidates will be considered for up to three times the number of open positions in each state and category.

SBI CBO Document Screening

The screening committee is in charge of the following tasks:

• The online applications and documents of aspirants who get shortlisted based on their performance in the online examination will be evaluated by the screening committee.
• They will determine whether the candidates meet the required experience eligibility criteria.
• They will compare the job profiles provided by the candidates (as confirmed by their current/previous employers) to the job profile of the Scale 1 Generalist Officer at the State Bank of India.
• If the application differs significantly from that of a Scale 1 Generalist or if the job profile does not match the profile set by the bank, the candidate’s SBI CBO Application will be rejected.

SBI CBO Selection Stage 3: Interview

Candidates will be notified for an interview based on their performance on the online objective and descriptive exams. The interview will be conducted for 50 marks. Aspirants must achieve a minimum score set by the bank during the personal interview process.

Document Verification Process During Interview Round

Along with the interview, document verification will take place. Hence, aspirants must bring copies of all relevant documents and the originals. The following documents are required:

• Proof of date of birth
• Educational certificates (relevant mark sheets/ degree/ certificate)
• Professional qualification certificate (e.g. MBA, CA, CFA, ICWA, etc.) if applicable
• JAIIB/ CAIIB certificate (if applicable)
• Experience certificates
• Form-16/ salary slip
• 10th or 12th class marksheet/ certificate for proof of knowledge of the local language

Note:

The final merit list will be created by adding the marks from the online exam (both objective and descriptive) and the interview scores. The results of the online test and interview will be combined in a 75:25 ratio.
