Centre for Personnel Talent Management, commonly popular as CEPTAM, is a corporate body and premier centre of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). CEPTAM is responsible to conduct the recruitment of Technical, Assessment of DRTC Officers & Staff, Administrative & Allied category of non-gazetted personnel, and facilitating training for the development of DRDO as per the requirement.
CEPTAM organised competitive exams for various posts from time to time, including Technician ‘A’, Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ (STA ‘B’), A & A, MTS, etc. CEPTAM conducts national level competitive exams at various exam centres throughout the country. DRDO CEPTAM exams are conducted in two phases: tier 1 and tier 2. Candidates are selected for jobs on the basis of their performance in both phases of the CEPTAM exam.

DRDO CEPTAM Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to apply for the DRDO CEPTAM 2025 recruitment must check the eligibility criteria for the offered posts before proceeding to fill the application form. After filling the application form, if any candidate is found to be not fulfilling any of the required criteria will not only lose the chance to be selected for the job but will also not be refunded the application fees. Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of DRDO has already prescribed the eligibility criteria for all offered posts which we have also mentioned below:
Nationality
Candidates must be Indian citizens and should be living in any Indian state.
Age Limit
To be eligible for any of the offered posts through the DRDO CEPTAM exam, the applicants must be aged between 18 and 28 years as of the last date of the DRDO CEPTAM exam application.

DRDO CEPTAM Application Form
To appear for the DRDO CEPTAM 2025, candidates need to first fill online application forms. The Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of DRDO releases the application form for all DRDO posts. And, candidates can fill the DRDO CEPTAM application form online from the official website. Applicants must note that the application form is not made available in offline mode. Furthermore, candidates must make sure that they are fulfilling the above-mentioned eligibility criteria before filling the application form. To fill the DRDO CEPTAM application form, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Registration
Firstly, the candidates have to visit the official website of the Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of DRDO. Candidates need to now select the registration option. Candidates can fill in more than one application form through a single CEPTAM registration. Candidates need to provide required details such as name, DOB, mobile number and email ID and click on the register option. The system will now send a user ID and password to the candidate’s registered email ID. Candidates need to note down it as it will be used multiple times in future.
Step 2: Filling the application form
After completing the registration process, the candidates need to proceed to fill the main application form for DRDO CEPTAM 2025. Candidates need to first log in using the credential generated while registering. After login, candidates need to select “new registration” and fill in all the required details asked in there. Candidates will be asked to provide their mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth etc. as per matriculation/secondary/ equivalent certificate and correspondence address, valid ID proof detail, educational qualification detail. Candidates are suggested to fill all the required details carefully because once the DRDO CEPTAM application form is submitted then conducting authority will not provide another chance to make corrections in it.
Step 3: Upload Images
After filling in the required details in the application form, the applicants need to select the exam centres from the list given there. Candidates need to select 2 to 3 exam centres in order to choose. Candidates need to now proceed to upload the required documents. Applicants have to upload their recent passport size photograph, scanned signature and educational qualification certificates. The candidates need to upload the documents in the below-prescribed format.
All the documents or images should be in JPG/JPEG format only.
The height of the photograph should be 4.5cm and the Width should be 3.5cm. The size of the photograph should be between 20KB to 35KB
The size of the candidate’s signature should be between 20kb to 35 kb
The size of the candidate’s Class 10 or equivalent certificate must be between 50 kb to 100 kb
The size of the candidate’s EER certificate should be between 50kb to 100 kb
Step 4: Payment of Application Fees
After uploading the required documents, the candidates need to check all the details filled in the DRDO CEPTAM application form. If required, the applicants can edit the application form and make changes. Candidates need to now proceed to pay the fee for DRDO CEPTAM application form. Candidates can pay the application fee only through online mode. A credit card, debit card, internet banking, etc., can be used to pay the application fee.
Step 5: Printing the DRDO CEPTAM Application Form
After completing the above-mentioned steps, the applicants have to click on the submit button given there. After submission, a confirmation page will appear on the screen with an option to download. Candidates are now suggested to download and take a printout of the same and keep it safe until the whole selection process gets completed.
Note: A candidate can apply for more than one post as per their eligibility. The candidates who want to apply for more than one post will have to fill a separate application form.However, the candidates need not complete the registration process twice; they can fill the second application form with the previous registration credentials.

The DRDO CEPTAM tier 1 exam for offered posts is conducted in offline mode at various exam centres throughout the country. Candidates who are seeking any of the offered jobs through DRDO CEPTAM 2025 needs to select the exam centre for CBT as per their choice. Note: The candidates are not provided with the facility to opt for the exam centres for DRDO CEPTAM tier 2 exams. The exam centre for the tier 2 exam is allotted based on the operational need. Candidates are advised to visit the exam centres at least an hour before the exam starting time.
DRDO CEPTAM Admit Card
Candidates who will successfully fill the application form for DRDO CEPTAM 2025 will download the admit card for appearing for the exam. The exam conducting authority usually releases the hall ticket at least two weeks before the date of the exam. Candidates can download their exam admit cards via online mode only. Moreover, the officials will not send the same through the post. To download DRDO CEPTAM 2025 hall ticket, the candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below:
Visit the official website of DRDO at drdo.gov.in.
Candidates need to find the option given there to download the DRDO CEPTAM admit card for the post they have applied for and click on it.
Candidates need to now log in using the required credentials (generated while registration process).
After login, DRDO CEPTAM hall ticket will appear on the screen. Candidates need to check all the details mentioned over it and then click on the download option.
In the end, the candidates need to take one or two copies of their to admit card and keep it safe for future references.
If any candidate finds any mistakes published on their DRDO CEPTAM admit card, they need to contact the exam conducting authority and request to resolve it before the exam. The DRDO CEPTAM Exam admit card contains details such as the name of the candidate, Post name, Postcode, Reference number, Seat number, Subject, Address of communication, Category & sub-category, Nature of exam, Application number, Exam time, Exam venue, the rules to be followed during the exam. Stages: DRDO CEPTAM MTS exam has a total of two phases which are tier 1 and tier 2.
Mode of Exam: DRDO CEPTAM MTS examwill be held in online mode (Computer-based test).
Time Duration: Total duration of each phase of the DRDO CEPTAMexamis 1 hour 30 minutes.
Total Questions: A total of 100 questions are asked in both phases of the DRDO CEPTAM Exam.
Total Marks: Total of 100 marks are distributed in each phase of the CEPTAM MTS exam.
Type of Questions: Multiple choice objective type questions are asked in the DRDO CEPTAMexam.
Sections: The tier 1 exam has a total of 3 sections which are General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Ability. The Tier 2 exam also has 3 sections which are General Science, General Math, and General English.
Language: Both phases of the MTS exam is conducted in both Hindi and English languages and the candidates can select the medium as per their choice.
Section Time Limit: There will be no section time limit.
Marking Scheme: For every correct response, candidates will receive 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for the wrong response/ unanswered questions.
Marks Distribution: In both phases of the DRDO CEPTAM MTS exam, marks will be distributed as per the detail mentioned in the table below:
Mode of Exam: A&Aexamwill be held in online mode (Computer-based test).
Time Duration: Total duration of each phase of the DRDO CEPTAMexamis 2 hours.
Total Questions: A total of 150 questions are asked in tier 1 of the DRDO CEPTAM A&A Exam.
Total Marks: Total of 100 marks are distributed in the first phase of the CEPTAM exam.
Type of Questions: Multiple choice objective type questions are asked in the DRDO CEPTAMexam.
Papers: The test paper for Stenographer Grade-II (English Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Store Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing) and Store Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing), comprises questions from Quantitative ability/aptitude, General intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Science, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, General English and Hindi or English Language.
Sections: A&A exam has a total of three sections and each section of the A&A Tier 1 exam has a total of 50 questions.
Language: A&A exam is conducted in both Hindi and English languages and the candidates can select the medium as per their choice.
Section Time Limit: There will be no section time limit.
Marking Scheme: For every correct response, candidates will get 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for the wrong response/ unanswered questions.
Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying marks for A&Atier 1 is 40% for UR/OBC/EWS candidates while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to secure at least 35% marks.
A&A Post Tier 2 Exam Pattern: Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of DRDO conducts tier 2 exams for all posts offered in the A&A category. In tier 2 of the A&A exam, the candidates need to pass the grade/Skill/Physical Fitness and Capability Test as per the requirement of posts. This is qualifying in nature and the candidates need to clear this stage to be selected for the job.
DRDO CEPTAM Tech A Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2025
Mode of Exam: Tech A Post-examwill be held in online mode (Computer-based test).
Time Duration: Total duration of each phase of DRDO CEPTAMTech A Postexamis 2 hours.
Total Questions: A total of 150 questions are asked in tier 1 of DRDO CEPTAM Tech A PostExam.
Total Marks: Total of 100 marks are distributed in the first phase of the CEPTAM Tech A Postexam.

Sections: Tech A Postexam has a total of two which are Section A and Section B. DRDO CEPTAM Exam Day Instructions
To take up the DRDO CEPTAM exam in a particular way is very important to perform better in the exam. In order to take up the DRDO CEPTAM exam without facing any trouble, the candidates should follow the instructions mentioned below:
Candidates must get a good sleep a night before the DRDO CEPTAM Exam and do not overeat on the very day of the exam.
The candidate must carry their DRDO CEPTAM exam hall ticket along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.
Candidates should try to reach the exam centre 1 hour before the time of exam commencement. It helps the candidates to avoid any unwanted problems due to last-minute haste.
Candidates need to find their allotted seat and acquire it as per their roll number before the exam commencement time.
During the exam, the candidates must maintain silence in the exam hall. Appropriate action will be taken against those candidates who will be caught making any unfair means of communication or noises during the exam.
The candidates are completely prohibited from bringing electronic items to the DRDO CEPTAM exam centre.
Candidates are also completely prohibited from bringing any paper to the exam centre; all candidates will be provided with a rough paper to do all rough work.
