AFCAT Exam Pattern 2025: The Indian Air Force will conduct the AFCAT 1 exam on February 2025, tentatively. Candidates who have applied for the AFCAT 1 2025 must know the AFCAT exam pattern and syllabus in order to prepare for the examination. — IAF has opened the AFCAT 1 application form correction window for IAF Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2025. Correct window will be closed on February, 2025. Interested aspirants can edit their applications on the IAF website, afcat.cdac.in.

The Indian Air Force recruits the commissioned officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (technical and non-technical) via the AFCAT exam. The AFCAT is conducted twice a year. Candidates who aspire to secure their desired position in Indian Air Force departments must check the AFCAT exam pattern.
There are four sections in the AFCAT exam: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test sections. Meanwhile, in the EKT, there will be Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical and Electronics subjects. The total marks allotted for AFCAT is 300 and EKT is 150 marks.

Note the following important points regarding AFCAT exam pattern:
Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) is mandatory for those candidates who wish to opt for Ground Duties (Technical) Posts. The details of EKT are as under:
Call letters will be sent to all the candidates who qualify for the AFCAT/EKT 2025 to appear for the second stage of selection which is the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Testing.
AFSB testing will have 2 stages. Qualified candidates from Online Test will have to appear for Stage 1 AFSB Interview at any of the AFSB Centre located in Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar, and Mysuru.
Candidates who have qualified for the written exam are required to choose the AFSB exam date and centre on the official website afcat.cdac.in. in order to generate a call letter for the AFSB interview
The psychological test will be conducted on day 1(afternoon) followed by group tests and interviews after document check for the next five days.
This test is mandatory for only those candidates who have applied for the Flying Branch.
Note: AFSB Stage 2 Testing requires at least 4-5 days and the last day is exclusively allocated for the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test. Also, the officers at the Selection Board will explain the tests in detail to all the candidates and aspirants can start the test only when they fully understand the instructions.

If the candidate clears the Online Tests and both the stages of the AFSB Interview then he/she will be called for Medical Examination. The Indian Airforce has prescribed only two centres for Medical Examination: the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru and the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), Delhi. After the Medical Examination, a final merit list will be prepared by the Board and the selected candidates will be asked to join any of the training establishments.
The conducting body allots the exam centres to those candidates who have successfully applied online for AFCAT 2025 exam. Here, we have enlisted the names of all the AFCAT exam centres. The exam centre will be mentioned in AFCAT admit card.
