Hotel Management Exams Eligibility Criteria

Satisfying the eligibility criteria is a must and anyone found to not have met the eligibility conditions later will be debarred from the admission process — or may even be stopped from appearing in future exams.

Educational Qualification:

Aspiring candidates for various Hotel Management entrance exams, including NCHMCT JEE, AIMA UGAT, IIHM eCHAT, and IPU CET BHMCT, must have completed their Intermediate (10+2) from CBSE or any recognised board. English should be one of the core subjects in this qualifying examination.

Age Limit:

• NCHMCT JEE: Candidates should be below 25 years of age at the time of admission. A physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner is mandatory.
• AIMA UGAT: The minimum age requirement for candidates appearing in AIMA UGAT is 17 years.
• IIHM eCHAT: Aspirants should be below 22 years of age to be eligible for IIHM eCHAT.
• IPU CET BHMCT: Candidates applying for IPU CET BHMCT should be above 21 years of age.

Minimum Percentage Requirement:

AIMA UGAT and IPU CET BHMCT: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% in their 10+2 qualifying examinations.

Provisional Admission:

For all the mentioned exams, candidates appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent examinations can provisionally appear in the entrance exam. 

However, provisional admission is subject to the submission of proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of counselling.

Failure to provide the required proof will result in the cancellation of provisional admission.

Verification of Documents:

The offer of admission is subject to the verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. 

If a candidate is found ineligible later, even after admission, their admission will stand cancelled.
