ITI Admission 2022: Industrial Training Institute or ITI Admission generally begins in the month of June/July/August every year. But due to Coronavirus, the ITI admissions may begin late. In ITI, vocational training is provided to the student. Upon completing the course, a candidate must appear for the All India Trade Test (AITT) exam. ITI Admission 2022: Overview

The role of the ITIs is to provide technical training to the students and equip the students with Industry-specific skills. The aim of the ITIs is to create a large amount of skilled workforce in the country. There are government as well as private ITIs in the country.

DGET forms the guidelines, rules & regulations and formulates policies for ITIs across the country. DGET stands for Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET). The DGET works under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

ITI Admission 2022: ITI Eligibility

ITI conducts training programs in several courses which it calls “Trades”. Each trade has its own set of skills that a student needs to master. The duration of the course may be between 6 months to 2 years. The duration depends upon the nature and type of the course that the student has selected.

The eligibility criteria for ITI vary from course to course. A candidate must be eligible for a Class 8 or Class 10 or Class 12 pass.

ITI Admission Course Fee Structure

The ITI course fee depends upon the state and the trade and whether it is a government ITI or a Private ITI. For ITI engineering trades, the fees vary from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 9,000, while for Non-engineering ITI Trades, the fees vary from Rs. 3,950 to Rs. 7,000. In most states, the amount of the fee is less than the engineering course fees. A student can pay the total course fee in two instalments.
