Age Limit:

For appearing in the JEE Main Paper 2B. B Planning, there is no age limit. Candidates who have cleared the Class 12th examination in 2021 and 2022 or appearing in 2023, irrespective of their age, can appear in JEE Main Paper 2B. However, individual institutes might have age criteria, so candidates must fulfil them to get admission to any particular institute. 

Qualifying Exams:

  • Candidates who have passed the final examination of 10+2, conducted by a recognised state/ central board such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi etc., 
  • Must have cleared intermediate or two-year Pre-University exams conducted by the recognised Board/ University. 
  • Must have cleared the final examination with the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing in the National Defence Academy.
  • Candidates must have been certified in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of 5 subjects.
  • Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognised as 10+2 or equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Must have a Higher Secondary Vocational Examination certificate.
  • A Diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration. 
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/ Srilanka) at advanced A Level.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or Internation Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. 
  • If Class 12 is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public or board examination earlier. 

Eligibility for Admissions to IITs, NITs or CFTIs Participating through Central Seat Allocation Board 

  • Admissions to B.Arch/B. Planning courses in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating through CSAB will be based on the All India Ranking. The condition is that the candidates should have scored at least 75% marks in class 12 board exams conducted by the respective boards. The qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates would be 65% in the class 12 board exam. 
  • The Admissions to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs will be based on the qualifying percentile by the individual institutes. 
  • For B. Planning, the candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
