NEST 2025 Merit List
Candidates who pass the counselling session will be part of the merit list released by the respective institutes. The NEST merit list is released on the official website of the two colleges. Candidates will check the merit list and take the printout to grab a seat in the seat allotment process at the end of admission. The merit list is prepared based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the NEST 2025. Here are the two methods by which the cut-off is prepared.
The direct total of the general section and the best three scores in each section will be considered as the total score.
SMAS is 20% of the average of the best 100 scores in each section.
For example, if the average of the best 100 scores in the Chemistry section is 40 out of 50, then SMAS for the Physics section would be 40*0.20 = 8 marks.
The section-wise marks will be different for different numerical values.
Candidate must score equal to the SMAS or more than SMAS in the general section and in each subject section.
Candidates must score equal to or above the MAP score and SMAS.
Candidates who will score more or equal in MAP but not in SMAS will not be included in the merit list.
