RRB JE Selection Process 2023

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct the RRB JE selection process. The selection process comprises a total of 4 stages, i.e. computer-based test I, computer-based test II, document verification and medical examination. Candidates must clear all the stages to successfully secure the RRB JE post.

The RRB JE post consists of diverse departments such as Electronics, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and IT. RRB JE Computer-Based Test I

RRB JE Computer-Based Test is the first stage of the recruitment process. The CBT 1 exam will be completely based on MCQs and candidates will be allotted one hour and 30 minutes to complete their exam. There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer. Candidates who clear the CBT I exam will be eligible for CBT II. RRB JE Computer-Based Test II

Candidates who clear CBT I will appear for CBT II. The CBT II will be based on MCQs, and candidates will have 2 hours to complete their exam. There will be a negative marking of ⅓ mark for every incorrect answer. The following table provides details on the RRB JE CBT II:

RRB JE Document Verification

Candidates who clear the RRB JE CBT II exam will be eligible for the document verification process. The following is the list of documents candidates must submit during the verification process:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Degree or Diploma Certificate
  • Minority declaration on nonjudicial stamp paper
  • High School/ Matriculation Examination Certificate
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from serving employees or ex-servicemen

RRB JE Medical Examination

The candidates must clear the last stage of the RRB JE recruitment. The following are the fitness parameters candidates must fulfil to clear the final stage of the RRB JE selection process:

Visual Standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses. (lens power must not exceed 2D)
Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses
Must clear Colour Vision, Field of Vision, Binocular Vision and Night Vision tests.

Visual Standards – Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (lens power must not exceed 4D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required
