RRB Ministerial & Isolated Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the respective post they wish to enrol. The post wise eligibility criteria for RRB Ministerial and Isolated categories recruitment is as follows:

Junior Stenographer

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates must fall between the age group of 18 to 30 as calculated on July 1, 2019
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates who have qualified class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized institute are eligible.
  3. Skills Required for Hindi – Candidates must have a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute for 10 minutes with a transcription time of 65 minutes.
  4. Skills Required for English – Candidates having a shorthand speed of 8– words per minute for 10 minutes with a transcription time of 50 minutes are eligible. 

Junior Translator/ Hindi

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates whose age falls between 18 to 33 as on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post of Junior Translator.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have any of the following qualifications along with the completion of a certificate or diploma course in translation from English to Hindi and vice – versa
    1. Master’s degree in English or Hindi with compulsory subjects as English or Hindi as compulsory or elective subjects.
    2. Master’s degree in any subject other than English or Hindi with compulsory subjects as English or Hindi or a medium of examination.

Staff and Welfare Inspector

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates must fall between the age group of 18 to 33 as reckoned on July 1, 2019
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates should graduate with any of the following qualifications.
    – Diploma in Social Welfare/ Labour Welfare or LLB with Labour Laws
    – Diploma in Labour Laws
    – PG Diploma in Personnel Management or MBA/HR

Chief Law Assistant

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates must fall between the age bar of 18 to 40 as of July 1, 2019.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have a degree of Law with three years of practice as a litigant. 

Note – Candidates who are serving Railway employers and are law graduates are also eligible to apply for Chief Law Assistant.

Lab Assistant Grade III Chemist and Metallurgist

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates must fall between the age bar of 18 to 30 as of July 1, 2019.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates completing class 12th or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects are eligible. Additionally, candidates must complete a diploma/ certificate course in  Lab. Technology.

Fingerprint Examiner

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates must fall between the age bar of 20 to 35 as on July 1, 2019.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates completing class 12th irrespective of the stream are eligible. Additionally, candidates must hold a certificate issued by the All India Board for Examination of Fingerprint Experts administered by GOI.

Head Cook/ Cook

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates must fall between the age bar of 18 to 30 as of July 1, 2019.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a board recognised as well as a Craftsmanship Course in Cookery from a recognised Institute.

Senior Publicity Inspector/ Publicity Inspector

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates whose age is not below 18 and does not exceed 33 as of July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must hold a degree from a recognised university along with a Diploma in PR/ Advertising / Journalism / Mass Communication

NOTE – Experience of two years for the post of Senior Publicity Inspector is desirable

Photographer

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates whose age is not below 18 and does not exceed 33 as of July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates qualifying 10+2 or equivalent with a Diploma in Photography/ Digital photography/videography. Additionally, candidates must hold a Diploma certificate in video editing/ Computer-Aided photos from a recognised reputed institute. 

NOTE – A candidate with a relevant professional qualification is desirable.

Postgraduate Teacher/ Biology (English Medium) (Male)

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates whose age is not below 18 and does not exceed 45 as on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have the following educational qualification
    1.  2 – year Integrated PG M.Sc. course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in Biology. OR Master Degree with 50% aggregate marks in subjects related to Biology.
    2.  B.Ed. or equivalent Degree
    3. Candidate must be proficient at teaching in English medium

NOTE – Computer applications knowledge is desirable

Postgraduate Teacher/ English

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates within the age group of 18 to 45 as on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have the following educational qualification
    1.  Master Degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in English
    2.  B.Ed. or equivalent Degree
    3. Candidate must be proficient at teaching in English medium

Trained Graduate Teacher/ Computer Science

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates within the age group of 18 to 45 as on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 50% in any of the following 
    1. B.C.A. from a recognised institute
    2. Graduation degree in Computer Science from a recognised institute/university
    3. B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognised institute
    4. Graduation degree irrespective of the subject along with an ‘A’ level course from DOEACC 

Trained Graduate Teacher/ Home Science (Female)

  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must obtain a graduation degree with a diploma in Home Science. OR Candidates must hold a B.Sc. (Home Science) with Degree / Diploma in Training / Education

Trained Graduate Teacher/ Hindi (Female)

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates within the age group of 18 to 45 as calculated on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Aspirants must have any of the following qualifications
    1. Graduation majoring Hindi along with a 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education
    2. Graduation majoring Hindi with a minimum aggregate of 50% and 1-year B.Ed. degree
    3. Graduation majoring Hindi with a minimum aggregate of 45% and 1-year B.Ed (Recognised by NCTE)
    4. Class 12th pass followed by B.Ed.Ed (4 years) obtaining at least 50% marks
    5. Class 12th pass, additionally obtaining a minimum aggregate of 50% in B.A./B.Sc or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
    6. Graduation majoring in Hindi with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  3. Additional Qualification – Candidates must pass the Teacher Eligibility Test and should be well versed to teach in the Hindi medium.

Physical Training Instructor (English Medium)

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates within the age group of 18 to 45 as calculated on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Qualification – Candidates having any of the following educational qualifications are eligible to apply for the post
    1. Graduate degree along with a Diploma in Physical Training from a recognised Institution.
    2. B.P.Ed. degree from a recognized University after qualifying class 12th
    3. Candidates should have the appropriate competence to impart physical education in the English medium

Dance Mistress

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates within the age group of 18 to 45 as calculated on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have any of the following qualifications to be eligible for the post
    1. Degree in Dance from a recognized institution
    2. Diploma in Dance from a recognised Institution

Laboratory Assistant/School

  1. Age Criteria – Candidates within the age group of 18 to 45 as calculated on July 1, 2019, are eligible for the post.
  2. Educational Qualification – Candidates must have qualified class 12th with science stream. Additionally, candidates must have 1-year experience in Pathological and Bio-Chemical Laboratory.

The regional Railway Recruitment Boards has issued the admit cards for single stage CBT and skill test separately a few days before on the official site. RRB released the region-wise Ministerial And Isolated Categories hall ticket four days before the exam date. RRB Ministerial & Isolated Result

Candidates will be able to check the CBT result by visiting the official websites of the regional RRB. RRB MI Recruitment: Stenographer Skill Test

Candidates who will clear the CBT for the post of stenographer will be eligible for the Stenographer Skill Test (SST). RRB will call the candidates equal to ten times the number of vacancies for the shorthand test, also known as, SST. Test takers will pass the Stenography Skill Test based on the following criteria.

Guidelines for Stenographer Skill Test

– Regional RRBs will conduct SST via a personal computer
– RRB will conduct the Stenographer Skill Test to award 300 marks
– Skill test will be conducted editing tools and spell check facility
– For Hindi typing, KrutiDev and Mangal font shall be made available on the personal computer
– Full/ major mistake will lead to a deduction of one mark
– Half/minor mistake will lead to the deduction of  half a mark
– Maximum number of errors, full or half, is limited to 10% of the total dictated words

RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories Recruitment: Translation Test

Similar to the shorthand test, a translation test will take place for recruitment to Junior Translator Hindi. Qualified candidates ten times the number of vacancies will be eligible to take the translation test. Candidates must keep the following things in mind for taking the translation test.

– Translation Test shall not be a part of the main examination
– Translation test is a qualifying exam where the candidates need to obtain 60%

RRB MI Recruitment: Performance Test/ Teacher Skill Test

Recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Physical Training Instructor (PTI) & Assistant Mistress/ Junior School (PRTs)/ Primary Teacher (Music), Primary Teacher (Dance) and Art Master (PGT/TGT) will be done based on the performance test and teacher skill test. Qualified candidates 2.5 times the number of vacancies will be eligible to take the PTs/ TSTs. Teacher Skill Test and Performance Test will have the following features.

Performance Test

– Music and Dance teachers are adjudged based on skills, performance, energy level, etc

Teacher Skill Test

– The TST will evaluate the candidates based on their Teaching Ability, Methodology, Content Expertise, etc.
– Candidates are asked to teach some topics which are decided by the committee on the spot

Result OF RRB MI Stenographer Skill Test

Candidates are considered for the selection depending upon their RRB MIinisterial & Isolated Result in CBT and the further recruitment processes. Similar to the recruitment process, the merit list preparation criteria may vary across different posts. 

Stenographer – Merit list for Stenographer Skill Test and Computer Based Test.

Junior Translator – The merit list for the post of Junior Translator entirely depends upon Computer Based Test. However, candidates need to qualify for the translation test mandatorily.

Music/Art/Dance Teacher – Regional RRB will prepare the merit list for the selection of primary teacher (Music/Dance), and Art teacher by providing weightage to CBT, Performance Test, and Skill Test in the ratio of 60:25:15 respectively.

Teacher Recruitment – Merit list for the teacher recruitment, i.e. PGT, TGT, PTI, and PRTs is made based on an 85:15 ratio, where 15% is for the skills whereas, 85% weightage is for the score in CBT

RRB MI Categories Document Verification Process

After the preparation of the merit list, candidates equal to the number of the advertised vacancies are called for the document verification process. Along with the number of candidates equal to the number of vacancies, RRBs might also call candidates up to 50% of the number of vacancies for various posts for the document verification process. The additional candidates will be considered if there is a shortfall of the candidates after the document verification process.
