Future Exams After Assam Board Class 10
Competitive tests are now at the heart of the educational system. While many students and parents believe that competitive examinations are only held for students in Class 12 and higher, this is not the case. Even for students in Class 10, there are several competitive examinations and award programmes.
These competitive tests are held to test a student’s mental aptitude and intelligence quotient, and those who pass the exam are awarded scholarships. Some of the future exams are as follows:
National Talent Search Examination or NTSE: A national-level examination cum scholarship programme is one of the most well-known competitive assessments for school students. The NTSE’s sole purpose is to identify students with exceptional academic abilities and intellectual capacity. It is based on the NCERT curriculum, which includes Science, Math, Social Science, and Mental Ability. Passers of this two-tiered test will get a stipend for the entire academic year. A Mental Ability Test (MAT) and a Scholastic Ability Test will be administered (SAT).
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): This is an easy choice of a competitive exam following tenth grade for students who want to find out where they stand in the rankings of a foreign college. However, many Indian institutions are accepting SAT scores instead of their own admissions exams.
JEE Main: JEE (Main), also known as the Joint Entrance Examination, is a nationally renowned entrance examination for admission to the country’s top engineering institutes, such as the IITs and NITs. Students who want to pursue BTech/BArch/B. Planning programmes in prestigious schools begin studying for this exam after passing Class 10 because they have a large syllabus to cover.
JEE Advanced: Students who pass the JEE (Main) exam are then eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) exam. The Joint Entrance Examination for admission to one of the IITs is now in its second round. Students who choose science streams (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in class 10 prepare for both JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) at the same time.
NEET: The National Eligibility Cumulation Entrance Test, or NEET, is a national-level entrance exam for admission to MBBS/BDS programmes. After completing Class 12, students who want to pursue a profession in medicine or dentistry take this exam. In many cases, though, kids begin preparing for it shortly after finishing Class 10.
