The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam every year for admission to MBBS course in the seven campuses of AIIMS.
AIIMS is considered to be the most acclaimed and quite legendary medical institute and hospital in India. It is a doorway to the ever-evolving field of medicine, new discoveries, advancements in treatment mechanisms for many medical aspirants. AIIMS gives admission to their students through their own entrance test. It is needless to say that the preparation for the national level exam demands soulful dedication, extreme level of perseverance and hard work from each aspirant for a successful survival in the cut-throat competition.
The total number of MBBS seats has now increased to 707 from 700, with the 7 additional seats going to foreign nationals at AIIMS New Delhi. The remaining 700 seats will be distributed among the 7 AIIMS.

AIIMS Application Form 2018
Students can apply for AIIMS MBBS exam only through online mode. Online registration is likely to start by the fourth week of January 2018. Students will be required to fill and submit their online application form at www.aiimsexams.org. It is of high importance that you have your documents ready with you. Read on to find all the information about AIIMS application form.
Guidelines for filling the form:
A candidate seeking to apply for the entrance examination is required to fill up the registration form available online along with the prospectus at www.aiimsexams.org. Candidate should fill in the online application form without leaving any column blank.
ONLINE REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM:
After selecting the online registration, fill the details required for the payment of the prescribed fee through Debit/Credit cards/Net Banking and fill all details required in the application form.
It will be the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that correct address, mobile number and E-mail address are entered in the Application Form.
Incomplete application/registration slip will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be entertained. No candidates should register more than one application.
All applicants are required to ensure that photo/thumb impression/signature are uploaded according to the
size and format given in the prospectus. Failure to do so may result in rejection of applications.
Duplicate applications from any applicant will result in cancellation of all such applications. No intimation regarding such summary rejections will be provided.
PROCESS FOR CHECKING OF STATUS OF PHOTO/THUMB IMPRESSION/SIGNATURE OF REGISTRATION SLIPS RECEIVED:
Acknowledgement with regard to successful online registration will be forwarded to the registered email ID of the applicants.
The status of registration will be available on AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.org in the first week of March 2018.
Candidates are advised to check status of their application form on the website. If the status of the application form is not available on the website, he/she should immediately contact with the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi-110 608 along with full particulars of the registration of application form by sending an email at email@example.com.
Here’s a step by step guide for applying online for AIIMS Entrance exam 2018:
The application fees for AIIMS MBBS 2018 is tabulated below. This is based on the application fee in 2017. Changes, if any, will be updated here after the official notification is released.
- Should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2018
- Should have passed or have appeared for 12th grade exams from CBSE, ICSC or from an equivalent board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects.
- The minimum aggregate of marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English should not be less than 60% for General and OBC category and 50% for SC/ST/OPH candidates.
AIIMS Marking Scheme/Pattern
- Each right answer will fetch you 1 mark
- Each incorrect answer would lead to a negative 1/3 mark
- No marks for questions left unanswered
3.5 hours would be given to the students to attempt the paper.

Preparation tips for AIIMS:
AIIMS MBBS 2018 results will be declared by the second week of June 2018.
AIIMS MBBS 2018 Counselling will be conducted in offline mode only. The counselling process for AIIMS MBBS 2018 will commence from the first week of July 2018. The counselling will be conducted in four rounds (First, Second, Third & Open counselling) for all categories. The counselling will be held at AIIMS, New Delhi. Candidates have to select the institutions as per their choices in the counselling process. The allotment of seats during counselling will be based on the inter-se-merit/ranking of the examination.
It is mandatory for all the candidates to be present physically on the day of counselling. No request for authorized representative on behalf of the candidates will be entertained. Failure to do so will result in them being marked absent and their candidature will be cancelled.

A downloadable Admit Card will be hosted for all the eligible candidates on website www.aiimsexams.org. All the candidates must take a printout of the same. The Admit Card will not be sent via post. No candidate will be admitted to the examination unless he/she holds a valid Admit Card.
(a) Candidate will be NOT be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid Admit Card in original. The admit card must bear the details of printout such as IP address, etc.
(b) Candidates are advised to preserve the original Admit Card and not the photocopy till allotment of seat in college/institute. Duplicate Admit Card will not be issued after the examination.
