BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2020 – Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility guidelines as laid towards the BHEL recruitment process. Anyone failing to do so will not be shortlisted for the profiles. These are given as follows:-

  1. Educational Qualification- Candidates must be a graduate. They must have a bachelor’s degree in B.Tech program, or 5 years degree integrated program course. 
  2. Specialization Required-One must complete the course in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering specialization. 
  3. Age Limit- Candidates falling under general and OBC categories must be 27 years, i.e they shouldn’t be born before September 1, 1993. For those who have a postgraduate degree, they must be minimum 29 years old. There is some age relaxation as offered by the officials. It is described below

BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2020 – Application Process

The eligible candidates will have to apply for the BHEL recruitment process in order to be considered for the selection process. It is described below:-

1st Step: Visit the official website and click on the ‘application form’. 

2nd Step: Select the domain one wishes to apply.

3rd Step: Enter the ‘GATE Registration Number’. Login credentials will be generated which will be required throughout the admission process. The username is going to be the same as the application number and the password is going to be the same as the date of birth.

4th Step: Enter the education details such as marks secured, bachelor’s degree score and more. 

5th Step: Click on the ‘Submit’ option.

6th Step: Document uploading process: In this step, candidates will be required to upload important documents. Do the process as per the instructions specified. Here is the list of documents which has to be uploaded along with specification as laid by the officials:-

7th Step: Candidates will be directed to the payment gateway. It can be paid in online mode via Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking. A payment amount  of Rs 300 as an application fee. Selection Procedure of the BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2020

After the release of the GATE score 2020, the officials will release the merit list. The merit list will consist of the names of the students. These shortlisted candidates will be called out for the final selection process.  Candidates will have to appear for the interview roun. 

The final shortlisting procedure  is divided into two parts: GATE marks and the interview process. 

These processes are given certain weightage as a part of shortlisting candidates for the final selection process. It is described below:-

  1. Weightage given to GATE marks: 75%
  2. Weightage given to the Final Selection Process: 25%

BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2020 – Training Overview

The finally selected candidates will be recruited for the designation. They will first undergo the training period/probation period. In this step, candidates are provided training on various aspects of the job. After the completion, they are provided with a full-time job of an Engineer. Here are important insights  on salary insights. Salary breakup is described below:-

  1. Pay Scale- Candidates will be paid a fee of upto Rs 20,000/- as an initial salary during the training period.  
  2. Probation Completion- On completing the training, after becoming an engineer, candidates will get a raise of upto Rs 26,000/- to Rs 50,000/- per month. The total CTC offered will be upto Rs 7.5 LPA-Rs 8.0 LPA.
  3. Bonus- Candidates will get bonus in form of allowance, leaves, medical benefits, canteen facilities, etc.
  4. Since the candidates will be selected for 3 years. These candidate will be will be provided an agreement bond of Rs 2,00,000/-
