Re-evaluation of CU Answer Script

The candidates who have appeared for the theory exams are not satisfied with their marks with the help of the re-examination of the answer script, can send their papers for re-examination. It is to be noted that the candidates appearing for any exams as a whole can apply for the re-examination for theoretical papers only, except MIL papers, ENVS, and ENGC.

Provisions in respect of Part I/II Examinations are:

• General course students can seek re-examination of not more than two papers/portion of papers provided he/she obtains at least 35% of the total marks in the remaining papers/portion of papers of all subjects taken together. 

An Honours/Major course student can seek re-examination of:

• Not more than one Honours/Major paper/portion of paper provided he/she obtains at least 35% of the total marks in the remaining papers/portion of papers of the Honours/Major subject, OR 
• A maximum of one Honours/Major paper/portion of the paper and one general paper/portion of paper provided he/she secures at least 35% of the total marks in the remaining papers/portion of papers of the Honours/Major and all general subjects taken together, OR
• Not more than two general papers/portion of papers provided he/she secures at least 35% of the total marks in the remaining general papers/portion of papers of all general subjects taken together.

Provisions in respect of Part III Examinations are:

• General course students can seek re-examination of not more than two general papers/portion of papers provided he/she obtains at least 35% of the total marks in the remaining papers/portion of papers of all general subjects taken together.
• An Honours/Major course student can seek re-examination of not more than two Honours/Major papers/portion of papers provided he/she obtains at least 35% of the total marks in the remaining papers/portion of papers of the Honours/Major subject.

Calcutta University Result 2022 Application for Answer Scripts

The candidates who want to get the photocopy of the evaluated answer scripts for self-inspection have to submit the application to the Controller of the Examination. The candidates need to pay INR 500/- per script for the self-inspection of their evaluated answer scripts. It is to be noted that the application form is to be submitted within 15 days from the day of the publication of the Calcutta University result notice 2022 for the concerned exams.

The candidates will be provided with a photocopy of the evaluated answer scripts after one month or two months from the last date of submission of CU applications. No candidates can receive a copy of the evaluated answer sheets in the compulsory languages, environmental studies and compulsory languages.
