April 8, 2025CBSE Class 9 Exam Pattern 2025: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is responsible for preparing the syllabus, publishing the textbooks and setting guidelines for CBSE Class 9 exam. CBSE Class 9 is a school-level exam conducted by the school authorities in all the affiliated schools. The Class 9 exams will tentatively be conducted in March 2025, and students need to know the exam pattern, which depicts the duration and marks distribution for each subject.
CBSE had implemented a Continous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) exam pattern. Students will be evaluated based on Formative and Summative Assessments. Summative assessment is structured at 60%, and the remaining 40% for Formative assessment, which includes calculations and abilities of the students. Students must score at least 33% to pass the CBSE Class 9 annual exam and a minimum of 7 marks out of 20 to pass the internal assessment. The final CBSE Class 9 exam will be conducted for 80 marks, and the exam duration is 3 hours.
