CBSE Class 9 Exam Pattern 2023
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is responsible for preparing the syllabus, publishing the textbooks and setting guidelines for CBSE Class 9. CBSE Class 9 is a school-level exam conducted by the school authorities in all the affiliated schools. The Class 9 exams will tentatively be conducted in March 2023, and students need to know the exam pattern, which depicts the duration and marks distribution for each subject.
CBSE had implemented Continous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) exam pattern. Students will be evaluated based on Formative and Summative Assessments. Summative assessment is structured at 60%, and the remaining 40% for Formative assessment, which includes calculations and abilities of the students. Detailed Class 9 CBSE Exam Pattern 2023
Students must score at least 33% to pass the CBSE Class 9 annual exam and a minimum of 7 marks out of 20 to pass the internal assessment. The Class 9 final exam will be conducted for 80 marks, and the exam duration is 3 hours.
Internal Assessment: The total marks for internal assessment is 20 for each subject. The Internal assessment marks are divided into three groups:
- Periodic Test – 10 Marks
- Note Book Submission – 5 marks
- Subject Enrichment Activity – 5 marks.
