Class 10 and 12 Exams to be Conducted by CBSE after Lockdown – Board exams only for remaining 29 subjects

BENGALURU April 29: Class 10 and 12 exams to be conducted by CBSE after the nationwide lockdown restriction will be lifted. CBSE latest notification on board exams states that the Class 10 and 12 board exams will be conducted only for 29 pending subjects which were postponed due to COVID -19 Outbreak and riots in East Delhi.

In the Press Release, CBSE has said that the board will conduct the exams for only main subjects that will be required for promotion and may be crucial for admissions in higher educational institutions. For the rest of the subjects, the CBSE will not hold examinations and the instructions for marking/assessment in all such cases shall be separately issued by the Board. Therefore, as and when the Board conducts the examinations, it will conduct examinations only for the 29 subjects.

It expected that CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams might be conducted in the last week of May once the lockdown restriction will be over. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 exam date will be released only when the board finds the suitable conditions to take the exams. As per the notification, the examination of Class 10 and 12 will be announced 10 days prior to the examination. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep preparing for the exam as they will not have enough preparation time once the exam dates are announced.
