GDS Computer Knowledge
Candidates must obtain a basic Computer Training Course Certificate for at least 60 days from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Govt/State Govt/Universities/Boards/Private Institutions/Organizations.
However, the requirement of a basic computer knowledge certificate is relaxable if the candidate has studied computer as a subject in Matriculation or Class 12 or any other higher educational level.

Candidates must also have knowledge of cycling which is a pre-requisite for all GDS posts.
Candidates must know how to read, write, and communicate in the local language of the respective State/UT. Checking the list of local languages for different states/UTs will help the students in the exam.
Gramin Dak Sevak Selection Process
The following points related to the selection process are enlisted below:
Candidates will be selected for the post based on the merit list which will be prepared as per rules. No further exam will be conducted for the selection of candidates.
The candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in Class 10 and no weightage will be given to higher educational qualifications.
The percentage of aggregate marks will be considered for the accuracy of 4 decimals for finalising the selection.
However, passing all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.
Candidates will have to apply by entering their 10th marks. In case of candidates having grades/points, the same has to be converted to marks and filled in the application form.

Candidates need to complete registration and fill out the Gramin Dak Sevak online application form on the official website. Follow the steps below for GDS online apply 2022.

Click on the link ‘Registration’. Enter details such as name, mobile number, gender, date of birth, category, etc.
Verify your mobile number with the OTP received. A unique registration number will be generated.
