How Many Students Appeared in UP Board 2022?

Bengaluru, July 25: This year, 51 lakh students appeared for the UP board exams for Class 10 and Class 12. The UP board exams were held from March 24, 2022. While the Class 10 exams ended on April 11, the Class 12 exams ended on April 20, 2022. Read further to know the statistics about UP board 2022. 

Number of Students in UP Board 2022

The year 2022 saw the highest number of students appearing for Class 10 and Class 12 UP board exam, over 51 lakh. The results for the UP board were declared on July 18, 2022. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has declared the results for the same. 

According to the official data, a total of 51,92,689 students appeared for Classes 10 and 12. For Class 12, 22,37,578 students appeared in the board exam. In the UP Board Class 12 exam, the girls outperformed the boys. The pass percentage of girls was around 8.04% more than that of the boys.

Results Are Better Than The Past 5 Years

Compared to the last five years’ results, the results are the best in 2022, with a passing percentage of 85.3% in UP board Class 12. The results were declared on July 18, 2022. Looking at district-wise results, Banda had topped the list of toppers with a pass percentage of 95.32%. Banda was followed by other districts like Hamirpur, Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Amroha. 

Strict measures were taken during the examination to avoid any risks, especially paper leaks. 321 static magistrates and 10 mobile squads, 24 Sector magistrates, a zonal and a magistrate were posted along with 3 zonal magistrates, and 3 super zonal magistrates.

Important Instructions to Be Followed for the UP Board Exam

Students appearing for the UP board exams need to ensure that they follow all the guidelines and instructions properly. Some of the important instructions to be followed include the following:

1. No electronic devices such as Mobile phones, calculators or any gadgets are not allowed.

2. All students appearing for the board exam must carry their own hand sanitiser.

3. Candidates need to follow the Covid-19 norms of social distancing.

4. Students must reach the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

5. Only 25 students were permitted inside the exam hall.
