With this, the board has also decided not to reveal the toppers list; therefore, no students will be declared toppers. In addition to fewer students passing the boards, there has been a sharp decline in the number of students scoring 90 per cent or above. The overall pass percentage stands at 92.71 per cent. Although the statistics are better than pre-pandemic levels, this is a decrease from the previous year’s 99.37 pass per cent. Moreover, the students scoring 90 per cent have also seen a dip after three years.

CBSE Class 12th Result Updates

Most students applying to top universities are from the CBSE board, so a decline in 90 per cent plus scorers would mean a drop in the cut-off for college admissions. But this year, most universities are using CUET for admissions, and just a few colleges will admit students based on the Class 12th results.

Transgender students have fared the best in terms of gender. The exams were passed with a 100% pass rate for all transgender students. Furthermore, 94.54 per cent of female examinees and 91.25 per cent of male examinees have passed the exam. This year, girls have outperformed boys by 3.29 per cent.

Besides, there has been an increase in the number of students taking compartmental exams. There will be up to 67,743 students taking compartmental exams. However, this is lower than pre-pandemic levels because 99,207 students were enrolled for the compartment in 2019, and 87,651 students were scheduled to take compartment exams in 2020.
