IIT JAM 2023: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati released the IIT JAM 2023 notification on July 22, 2022. The online application for the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc will begin on September 7, 2022. The deadline for submitting the JAM application form 2023 is October 11, 2022. IIT JAM 2023 exam offers an opportunity to get admission in MSc and other PG programmes offered by 30 CFTIs including NITs, IISc, DIAT, IIEST, IISER, IIPE, JNCASR, SLIET for over 2300 seats. Candidates will have three hours to finish the entrance exam. The entrance exam will be held at JAM exam centres located in eight different IIT zones. Candidates who meet the cutoff will be granted admission into IITs on the basis of the scores scored by them in JAM 2023.

Before applying for IIT JAM 2023 exam, it is highly advisable for all the candidates to go through the eligibility criteria predetermined by conducting body. IIT Guwahati has released the IIT JAM eligibility criteria through official notification. It must be noted that IIT may cancel the candidature of candidates failing to satisfy the eligibility parameters.

IIT JAM 2023 application form will be released on September 07, 2022. However, no application form will be accepted by IIT Guwahati after October 11, 2022. Interested aspirants who are eligible can apply for JAM via online mode by entering details into the application portal.

IIT Guwahati will release IIT JAM Admit Card 2023 online on its official website. Candidates who have successfully submitted the JAM application form can download the admit card by visiting the JOAPS portal using their login credentials. JAM 2023 examination for all seven test papers will be conducted as an online computer-based test. The duration of the examination will be of three hours. The medium of the IIT JAM 2023 exam will be English only. The entire paper will be divided into three sections i.e. Multiple Choice Questions, Multiple Select Questions, and Numerical answer types.
The university will conduct the exam in two sessions with three subjects each. The first session will include biotechnology, mathematical statistics and physics. The second session will include chemistry, geology, and mathematics. Find below the IIT JAM exam pattern:

In all the sections, unanswered questions will result in zero marks. In Section A, for every wrong answer, negative marking prevails. For every wrong answer to a 1 mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking in Section B and Section C.
