LIC ADO Selection Process 2023: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) prescribes the recruiting procedure for Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) in its official notification. The LIC ADO notification has been released on January 20, 2023 on the official website. The selection process is divided into three stages: online test, interview, and medical examination.

A candidate must successfully pass each stage of the hiring process to get shortlisted for the ADO position. Selected applicants will be under the jurisdiction of the various Divisional Offices in LIC. Read this article for more details on the LIC ADO Recruitment Process 2023.

LIC ADO 2023 Selection Procedure

The selection will be based on an online test, followed by an interview with applicants who pass the written test and a pre-recruitment medical assessment. The hiring of a LIC ADO will take place in the following stages:

Stage 1: Written Test/ Online Test: It is an online computer test that is administered in the following two phases for Open Market Category candidates:

• Phase 1: LIC ADO Prelims Examination
• Phase 2: LIC ADO Mains Examination

Stage 3: Medical Examination

• 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
• 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
• 3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job”.
• 4th Step: Select the Goal “Insurance” from the Dropdown and click on “Next”.
• 5th Step: Search and Select “LIC ADO Prelims” on the search bar and click on “Next”.
• 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click on “Done”.

• 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
• 9th Step: Click on any LIC ADO Prelims subjects.
• 10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.

LIC ADO Selection Stage 1: Online Test

The LIC ADO online test is conducted for three different categories:

• Employee Category: Those who work with LIC as full-time salaried employees (in Class III).
• Agents Category: Those who work as agents under LIC.
• Open Market Category: All other candidates

LIC ADO Online Test for Open Market Category

A two-phase examination will be conducted to select Apprentice Development Officers from the Open Market Category.

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination

The preliminary test consists of three sections: Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English Language. Applicants must get the minimum qualifying marks to get selected for the Mains Examination. There are separate timings for each subject of the Prelims exam as follows:

Phase 2: Mains Examination

The Mains test will be held online for a total of 150 marks. The total duration for this test is 120 minutes. Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks to proceed to the next level, which is an interview round.

LIC ADO Online Test for Agents & Employee Category

A single-phase test, the Mains examination, will be conducted to designate Apprentice Development Officers from the Agents and Employee categories. The objective test for the Mains examination will be administered online. Candidates will have 120 minutes to complete the test.

LIC ADO Selection Stage 2: Interview Process

The interview round is the second stage in the LIC ADO Selection Process 2023. Only marks obtained in the Mains examination will be considered for interview shortlisting. This round will have a total of 37 marks. After completing this phase, the board will publish the final cut-off marks and notify qualified applicants through email and SMS. 

LIC ADO Selection Stage 3: Medical Examination

This is a mandatory stage in which selected candidates are called for document verification and a medical assessment. On clearing this phase, they will be considered for the position of Apprentice Development Officer.
