Detailed Manipal Exam Pattern 2019

As you can see in the table above, MET 2019 (or MU OET 2019) for engineering aspirants, seeking admission to B.Tech. programs in MAHE and its other campuses has four subjects or sections:

  1. Mathematics
  2. Physics
  3. Chemistry
  4. English and General Aptitude

The number of questions in each section, as well as the marking scheme of MET 2019, are tabulated below:

Note:

  1. Each question carries four marks.
  2. There is negative marking of one mark for every wrong answer.
  3. The total time duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
  4. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
  5. The questions are of Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions).

As you can see, the marking scheme of MET has changed from 2019. Previously, each question in MET carried 1 mark and there was no negative marking for incorrect answer. MAHE introduced the negative marking scheme from 2019.

Manipal Exam Pattern 2019: Number Of Attempts

MAHE allows students to register for a maximum of two attempts (in the same year). The first and second attempts of MET 2019 will be conducted between the second week of April 2019 and the first week of May 2019. The best of the two scores will be considered for ranking and admission.

Through MET 2019, candidates can get admission to one of the following three campuses of MAHE:

  1. Manipal Institute of Technology,
  2. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim,
  3. Manipal University, Jaipur
