Steps to Check MAT IBT Merit List 2022

The MAT 2022 results will be declared on the official website on March 22, 2022. Here are the steps for candidates to check their MAT results:

1st Step: Visit the official website of MAT
2nd Step: Click on download/view.
3rd Step: Then click on the “MAT Result” button.
4th Step: Select the month of the examination.
5th Step: Enter the Registration number and Password.
6th Step: Click on the “Submit” button. The respective scorecard will appear on the screen.
7th Step: Download the scorecard for future reference.

MAT IBT Merit List 2022 and Score Calculation

The MAT Score Calculation is based on the marks obtained in all the four sections of the question paper. The MAT comprises Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning sections. Here, candidates can calculate their approximate score by looking at MAT Exam Marking Scheme and calculating MAT Percentile:

  • The MAT question paper contains four sections with a total of 200 questions.
  • Each section comprises 40 Marks.
  • Each right answer carries one mark.
  • There is negative marking, and -0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.
  • Scores of these four sections are reported on a scale of 0-100.
  • Scores below 20 and above 80 are rare.
  • MAT composite score is reported on a scale of 199 to 801.
  • In MAT 2022 composite scores, scores below 200 or above 800 are common.

AIMA MAT 2022 Selection Process

After receiving the MAT scorecard, the candidates must undergo various management programs’ admission process. The detailed selection process for MAT applicants is mentioned below.

  • The AIMA MAT Score Card is sent to the institutes that are participating in the MAT exams.
  • The scores are only sent to the colleges for which the candidate has opted in the MAT Application form.
  • Based on the cut-off marks for each college, the candidates will be shortlisted and invited for the further selection process.
  • The candidates will then have to attend a Group discussion (GD) round followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • The final merit list will be released by the respective colleges, and candidates will have to go to the them where they have been shortlisted and complete the admission process.

MAT IBT 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the MAT are given below. Candidates need to make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria. The applications that do not meet the necessary requirements will be rejected.

Academic Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised Institute or University.
  • Candidates appearing in final year examinations or awaiting results for their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to appear for MAT 2022.

Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam

  • Candidates need to have at least 50 percent aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC, ST, and PwD need to have a minimum 45 percent aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the bachelor’s degree final result.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to apply for the MAT exam. However, the lower age limit is not less than 20 years old, which is equivalent to a graduate.

Work Experience

It is not mandatory for candidates to have relevant work experience for admissions into MBA colleges. However, the work experience does carry an extra weightage in the selection process for top MBA colleges across India.
