Courses Offered By NIOS
NIOS offers the following courses:
- Open Basic Education (OBE) programme which has three levels as under:

NIOS conducts its examinations twice a year – once in April-May and then again in October-November. For Secondary and Senior Secondary levels, students can also apply for On-Demand Examinations for subjects in which they have taken admission in NIOS.
Students must study a minimum of five subjects and a maximum of seven subjects. A total of nine chances across a period of five years is given to each student to clear the exam. Students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in order to clear the NIOS exam.
