NMAT Selection Procedure 2021: Graduate Management Aptitude Council states that the admission process of NMAT 2021 is done in two steps i.e. first step of NMAT 2021 selection process is to appear for NMAT 2021 consists of three sections such as Quantitative skills, logical reasoning, and language skills & second step involves case discussion & personal interview round. NMAT exam call letter will be released by NMIMS & candidates will be selected on the performance.

There is a total of 35 participating B-Schools in NMAT. NMAT score of the candidate will be sent to a college chosen by them. NMAT Selection Procedure 2021

The selection criteria of NMAT 2021 will be performed by participating institutes and each NMAT participating institute will release its own cutoff list. Candidate must carry all necessary documents to the centre such as NMAT admit card, other documents for smooth conduct of admission.

Candidates appearing for NMAT by GMAC need to understand the different stages of NMAT selection procedure, which is inclusive of two different steps. The stages are explained below:

  • 1st Stage: Appearing and qualifying NMAT by GMAC 2021.
  • 2nd Stage: The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for Personal Interview, Case Discussion, Writing Ability Test and Group Discussion rounds.

The selection will be made on the basis of the personal interview/case discussion, the marks obtained by the candidates in NMAT 2021, work experience as well as their academic performances.

It is to be noted here that a few of the participating institutions might shortlist candidates while considering their respective profiles that include several aspects such as their work experiences and past academic records among others.

NMAT Selection Procedure 2021 – Stage 1

NMAT is one of the sought-after MBA entrance exams conducted for admission in India and abroad. The candidate must check all the details regarding the slot booking. Candidates can book a slot between November to January 2022. Within this window of 88 days, candidates can retake NMAT 2021 as many as three times to improve the score. NMAT by GMAC 2021 Selection Process – Stage 2

The next stage is cutoff of NMAT, which reflects the minimum qualifying marks a candidate needs to score to become eligible for further rounds. The NMAT 2021 cutoff of each participating institution will vary. Hence, the candidates are advised to check the cutoff of NMAT 2021 released by the affiliated colleges respectively. Aspirants who qualify the cutoff will be called for further rounds.

After qualifying the NMAT exam, the candidates have to further selection rounds of participating institutes where they have applied for admission. These rounds include:

Writing Ability Test

This test is aimed at assessing the writing skills and perception of the candidates about a particular topic. The topics for writing can be concurrent topics from the business news and the world economy.  

Group Discussion

Group discussions help the admission committee to judge you for your analytical & debating skills. The candidates are advised to put their opinion confidently without coining any useless points to nail this round.

Personal Interview

NMAT Selection Process 2021

NMAT 2021 selection process will begin with candidates registering & appearing for entrance exam. Steps includes:

  • Appear for NMAT exam: Candidates will have to appear for NMAT 2021 expected to held in the month of November 2021.
  • NMAT result 2021: NMAT result will be made released in the month of February. After this, all B-schools will release their respective NMAT 2021 cutoffs.
  • Appear for screening process: Candidate will have to appear for screening procedure such as Case discussion, WAT and personal interview
  • Final selection: Final selection of candidate depends upon the score achieved in screening rounds.

The NMAT 2021 result will be released tentatively by the 3rd week of February 2022. The result would mention the scaled scores from every given section and the same would be made available to the candidates. The candidates will also receive notification regarding the declaration of NMAT results via email. As per the NMAT selection procedure, final percentile would be updated in the scorecard.

NMAT By GMAC 2021 Selection Process: Important Points

The candidates must also note that during the admission procedure of the participating institutes, they need to carry the mark sheets and academic qualification certificates of Class 10th and 12th, medical fitness and work experience certificates.
